How to Apply for the Kazakhstan QazETA (QazETA) - Step by Step

Step 1: Check you are inside the submission window

The QazETA can only be submitted before your arrival in Kazakhstan. Count backwards from your arrival date and start the process as soon as the window opens - leaving it to the airport is the main cause of QazETA problems.

Step 2: Open the official portal

Go to Kazakhstan's QazETA portal at https://qazeta.kz. Official government forms are always free; if a website charges a fee, it is a third-party service (like ours - see the note at the end of this guide).

Step 3: Fill in the sections in order

The form is shorter than most visas, but each section has traps:

Typical QazETA sections:

• Personal information: copy names exactly as printed in your passport
• Passport information: number, issue/expiry dates, nationality as in the passport
• Travel information: arrival date, flight number of the leg landing in Kazakhstan, first city/airport of arrival
• Contact & stay: email you actually check, phone number, and full Kazakhstan address
• Health & customs questions: answer the standard declarations honestly

Step 4: Review before you submit

Before confirming, re-read the name spelling, passport number and arrival date character by character. These three fields cause the overwhelming majority of problems at immigration. A single wrong digit in a passport number means the QazETA will not match your passport at the counter.

Step 5: Save your confirmation

After submission you receive a confirmation or QR code by email. Save it on your phone (a screenshot is fine) and keep access to the email account you registered with - airline staff occasionally ask for it at check-in, and immigration may scan the code on arrival.
